New Years Resolutions...

For those of you that attend Beech Street, many of you read the article I wrote on resolutions last week. I referenced a list from www.usa.gov that listed the top New Years Resolutions: 1)Lose weight; 2)Manage debt; 3)Save Money; 4)Get a better job; 5)Get fit... and the list went on

In the article I stated my few resolutions for this year:
1)Making family devotional time a priority
2)Continuing our financial plan
3)Eating healthier
4)Exercising consistently

For the next day or two I will blog about my list:
Off and on for the past couple of years we have done family devotion time. Yet like most families we get busy, eat supper late, have to get baths and then it's bed time and you guessed it, family devotion time get cut. Well this year my goal is to be a lot more consistent with our devotional time. I believe it is my job as a parent to teach my kids the Word of God, not the churches job. Sure the church supports me but it's my God given responsibility to raise my kids to love Jesus. I love it when we do our devotion time. Listening to my kids ask questions, listening to them pray in their own ways, it brings joy to a Dads heart. So, this year I'm going to make a commitment to be a lot better in this area of my life. As a result I will be helping my kids grow spiritually.
